Thermally Broken Aluminium-Wood M6

Triple seal, internal overlap and flush exterior.
Frame 76 mm, sash 98 mm.

M6 is the MOSCA thermally broken aluminium-wood system, designed to combine technical performance, external protection and aesthetic quality indoors.

Aluminium provides structure, strength and protection from the weather. Wood, applied on the inside, brings warmth, elegance and comfort, making the window an integral part of the living space.

It is suited to homes, hospitality venues, professional premises and architectural projects that call for insulation, durability, attention to detail and a warmer, more refined look.

M6 is designed for those seeking an advanced window: solid outside, welcoming inside, high-performing over time.

ONE SYSTEM for M6

M6 incorporates ONE SYSTEM, the MOSCA design system applied to thermally broken aluminium-wood windows.

In M6, ONE SYSTEM works on the integration of different materials, making the relationship between the aluminium structure, the interior wood cladding, the thermal break, gaskets, glass and hardware more precise.

The system makes the most of both materials: aluminium protects, gives structure and withstands the weather; wood furnishes, insulates and brings warmth to the interior.

ONE SYSTEM addresses the most delicate points of the window: profile cutting, joining of materials, corner sealing and finishing, sealing gaskets, ventilation, drainage, glazing retention and assembly control.

The benefits are tangible: more precise, cleaner colouring, less risk of smudging, the option of two-tone solutions, better corner finishing, higher-quality finishes, greater system stability and a more refined appearance.

For architects, designers and dealers, it means relying on a technical, elegant and customisable window. For the end client, it means choosing a window that is more comfortable, more pleasant to live with and more reliable over time.

Material

Aluminium and Wood

M6 combines aluminium and wood in a system designed for protection, stability and aesthetic quality.

The aluminium profiles are made from AW 6060 alloy, chosen for its strength, durability and reliability. The 45° mitre cut and corner sealing contribute to construction accuracy and the quality of the finished product.

The way the profiles are machined promotes micro-ventilation and drainage, improving the window's behaviour over time. Finishes can be anodised or powder-coated.

The wood used on the inside enhances rooms with a natural, refined presence. Finishes are applied with water-based products.

Wood and aluminium are joined by swivelling nylon clips, a solution that brings the two materials together while maintaining precision, stability and aesthetic care.

Insulation

Thermal Break

The thermal break reduces the transfer of heat and cold between outside and inside, improving indoor comfort and the building's energy efficiency.

In the M6 system, the thermal barrier is formed by 35 mm rigid AlfaPro ABS profiles with a linear, tubular shape. The aluminium profiles are joined to the insulating profile mechanically by rolling.

The thermal break is further enhanced with PlamaFrame polyurethane material, inserted into the cavities of the insulator and beneath the glass. It is a technical component inside the profile, designed to improve insulation and reduce heat loss.

This configuration helps reduce heat loss, improve internal thermal stability and make the window better suited to new builds, renovations and energy-efficiency renovation projects.

Customisation

M6 allows a high degree of aesthetic customisation, thanks to the combination of aluminium and wood.

On the outside, the aluminium can be configured in a wide range of colours and finishes, to blend with different façades, elevations and architectural settings.

On the inside, the wood creates a warmer, more natural relationship with the rooms, enhancing furnishings, materials and living style.

The ability to use different finishes inside and outside makes M6 particularly suited to projects that call for aesthetic continuity, compositional freedom and attention to detail.

Thanks to the ONE SYSTEM approach, customisation is not just about colour but also about the final quality of the product: cleaner surfaces, better-finished corners, more precise joints and greater consistency between engineering and aesthetics.

Sealing

Central rebate seal

AlfaTwinPro

A strength of the M6 system is the central rebate seal, made from a rigid co-extruded tubular ABS profile of the AlfaTwinPro type, mechanically applied to the frame profile before cutting and completed during assembly with a co-extruded EPDM gasket.

This technology helps improve production times, sealing quality and finishing precision, making the window more stable, better finished and more reliable over time.

Gaskets

M6 uses EPDM and TPE gaskets, materials chosen for their elasticity, resilience and long-term reliability.

The system features three rebate gaskets, a threshold insulation gasket, and internal and external glazing gaskets.

This configuration helps improve air, water and wind tightness, increasing indoor comfort, protection from the weather and system stability.

Transparency

Glazing

M6 is compatible with high-performance glazing, designed to improve thermal insulation, acoustic comfort and security.

The system secures the glazing with snap-in glazing beads and accepts glass up to 44 mm thick.

Laminated low-emissivity safety double glazing with argon gas and a warm edge provided by a black Warm Edge spacer is fitted as standard.

The system can also take triple glazing, for even higher performance in insulation and comfort.

Mechanics

Hardware

Perimeter hardware for side-hung and tilt-and-turn opening ensures everyday ease of use, security and durability.

The system is designed with air gap 12 and centre distance 13 parameters, ensuring quality of operation, stability and reliability.

The window moves smoothly and with control, while the locking points contribute to overall security and sealing.

Concealed hinges can also be specified for a cleaner, more minimal look, including in configurations with a low threshold.
