Slim Thermally Broken Aluminium M3

Minimal profile, more light and the cleanest of lines.

M3 is MOSCA’s slim thermally broken aluminium system, designed for those seeking a window with an essential, contemporary and visually light design.

Its key feature is the reduced visual impact of the profile, which showcases the glazed surface, enhances the perception of natural light and integrates the window more fully into the architecture.

Thanks to its thermally broken aluminium structure, M3 combines clean aesthetics, stability, insulation and build quality. Even with a slim profile, the system can be configured with high-performance glazing, including triple glazing.

It is suitable for homes, hospitality facilities, professional spaces and architectural projects where the window must deliver technical performance without weighing down the design of the interior.

M3 is designed to turn the window into a discreet frame: solid in structure, minimal in appearance, giving more room to light and visual continuity.

ONE SYSTEM for M3

M3 incorporates ONE SYSTEM, MOSCA’s design system applied to slim thermally broken aluminium windows and doors.

In M3, ONE SYSTEM works on construction precision and quality of detail, which are essential when the profile becomes thinner and every line of the window is more visible.

The system addresses the most critical points of the product: profile cutting, joints, corner sealing and finishing, continuity of finishes, drainage, sealing, glass retention and assembly control.

The benefits are tangible: cleaner-looking profiles, more precise and uniform colouring, less risk of smears, neater corners, more controlled assembly and a more consistent appearance.

With a slim-profile window, quality of detail becomes even more important, because the window must be technically reliable yet visually light.

For designers and dealers, it means being able to offer a minimal, precise and customisable solution. For the end customer, it means choosing a brighter, more elegant window that is reliable over time.

Design

Slim profile

The slim profile is M3’s defining feature.

Reducing the visual presence of the window leaves more room for the glass, the light and the view of the outdoors.

This solution produces windows that look lighter, with essential lines and greater continuity between architecture, interiors and landscape.

M3 is particularly suited to contemporary projects, high-quality renovations, private homes, hospitality facilities and professional spaces where the window must contribute to the identity of the space without taking centre stage.

Material

Thermally broken aluminium

M3 uses AW 6060 aluminium alloy profiles, chosen for their strength, stability and long-term durability.

45° mitre cutting and corner sealing contribute to greater construction precision and a higher-quality finished product.

The machining of the profiles promotes micro-ventilation and drainage, improving the window’s behaviour over time.

Finishes can be anodised or powder-coated, with extensive colour customisation options.

Thanks to the strength of aluminium, M3 can work with more essential sections and a slim profile, while maintaining structural solidity, clean aesthetics and a more discreet visual presence.

Insulation

Thermal break and ABS bridge

M3 is designed to deliver thermal comfort and high performance in a minimal design.

The thermal break is achieved through rigid ABS insulating profiles, designed to reduce the transfer of heat and cold between outside and inside.

In a slim system, where the profile keeps a reduced visual presence, the ABS thermal bridge plays a fundamental role: it works inside the window structure to improve insulation, reduce heat loss and contribute to the consistent performance of the system.

The choice of glass allows the window to be adapted to the requirements of the project, improving thermal insulation, acoustic comfort, security and brightness.

M3 is therefore a solution suited to residential, professional and hospitality venues where essential design and performance must coexist in the same product.

Colour-matched thermal break and ABS bridge

MOSCA holds an exclusive right that allows it to produce the ABS profile of the thermal bridge on the sash in a colour matched to the window’s finish. This way, even when the window is open, every detail retains colour continuity with the rest of the profile, for a harmonious and refined look. The ABS bridge is available in white, black and brown, the latter designed to complement wood-effect finishes.

Customisation

M3 can be customised to suit the aesthetic and functional requirements of the project.

The aluminium structure allows great freedom in the choice of colours and finishes, so that the window can be matched to the building’s façades, interiors, floors, furnishings and materials.

Working with a slim profile makes customisation even more relevant: every finish must be clean, consistent and well integrated with the design of the opening.

Thanks to the ONE SYSTEM approach, customisation is not only about colour, but also about the final quality of the product: neater surfaces, better-finished corners, more controlled assembly and greater consistency between profile, glass and finish.

Light

Enhanced glazed surface

M3 was created to give greater prominence to the glazed surface.

The visually reduced profile increases the perception of natural light and creates a more direct relationship between inside and outside.

In living areas, bedrooms, offices, hospitality spaces or architectural projects with large openings, this feature creates a sense of greater spaciousness and visual clarity.

The window thus becomes a technical, discreet frame, able to protect the space without interrupting its relationship with the light.

Sealing

Gaskets

M3 uses EPDM and TPE gaskets, materials chosen for their elasticity, resilience and long-term reliability.

The system features three rebate gaskets, a threshold insulation gasket, and internal and external glazing gaskets.

This configuration helps improve airtightness, watertightness and wind resistance, increasing indoor comfort and protection from the elements.

Careful attention to the gaskets is one of the elements that make the system more stable, better performing and more reliable in everyday use.

Central rebate seal

AlfaTwinPro

A key strength of the M3 system is the central rebate seal, made with a rigid tubular co-extruded ABS profile of the AlfaTwinPro type, mechanically applied to the frame profile before cutting and completed during assembly with a co-extruded EPDM gasket.

This technology helps improve production times, sealing quality and finishing precision, making the window more stable, better finished and more reliable over time.

Transparency

Glazing

M3 makes glass the main element of the window.

Reducing the visual impact of the profile increases the perception of the transparent surface and creates a more direct relationship between inside and outside.

The system can be configured with high-performance glazing, chosen according to requirements for thermal insulation, acoustic comfort, security and brightness.

Laminated low-emissivity safety double glazing with argon gas and a black Warm Edge spacer is available. The system can also take triple glazing, raising the window's performance without giving up a clean design that is light to the eye.

M3 can take glass up to 44 mm thick.

Mechanics

Hardware

Perimeter hardware for side-hung and tilt-and-turn opening ensures ease of use, security and long-term durability.

The system is designed to ensure effective distribution of the locking points and smooth operation of the window.

Concealed hinges can also be specified for a cleaner, more minimal look, including in configurations with a low threshold.

The quality of the hardware contributes to the stability of the system and its reliability in everyday use.

Sustainability

M3 approaches sustainability through efficiency, durability and quality of design.

A well-designed window helps improve the building's energy performance, reduce heat loss and increase indoor comfort.

Aluminium is a durable, recyclable material, suited to solutions designed to retain their stability, performance and aesthetic quality over time.

For MOSCA, sustainability means designing windows built to last, reducing unnecessary interventions and contributing to the overall quality of the built environment.
