D2 aluminium entrance door with glazed inserts

Aluminium entrance door with glazed inserts D2

Aluminium panel, glazed inserts, insulating core and customisable configurations.

D2 is the MOSCA aluminium entrance door designed for those who want a bright, elegant and welcoming entrance.

Glass is the distinctive element of this solution: it lightens the surface of the panel, lets in natural light and creates a more open dialogue between outside and inside, without sacrificing protection, comfort or aesthetic care.

It is a proposal suited both to private customers and to professionals. In homes, D2 enhances the entrance, making it brighter and more representative. In B2B projects, it offers architects, designers, contractors and dealers a configurable entrance solution, suited to villas, residences, hospitality venues, B&Bs, company premises and contract projects.

Glass as a sign of light

D2 is designed to turn the entrance door into a point of light on the façade.

The glazed inserts bring brightness into the interior and make the entrance more open, elegant and contemporary. The glass is not just a decorative detail: it becomes part of the door's design, defines its visual rhythm and contributes to the overall perception of the building.

This solution is particularly suitable when the entrance opens onto dimly lit rooms, lobbies, hallways, residential entrances or professional spaces where natural light becomes a design asset.

MOSCA and ForMe Door

For its entrance doors, MOSCA uses panels by ForMe Door, an Italian company specialising in the production of panels for aluminium entrance doors.

In the case of D2, this partnership combines the quality of ForMe Door glazed panels with MOSCA's experience in configuring and building the complete entrance system.

MOSCA does not offer the panel as a stand-alone element, but places it within a coordinated solution: door, frame, glass, finishes, accessories, windows and façade are assessed together to achieve a consistent, functional and customised result.

For the end customer, it means choosing an entrance that is beautiful to look at and comfortable to live with. For designers, contractors and dealers, it means a flexible technical solution that adapts to the needs of the project.

Aluminium panel and glazed inserts

D2 features an aluminium panel with 3 mm sheet, an elastic joint and an insulating core.

The glazed inserts are integrated into the panel composition and help create a balance between solid surface and transparency. The door retains a solid presence but gains visual lightness thanks to the glass.

Processing can include decorative engravings on the aluminium sheet and details with aluminium inserts in a satin silver or stainless steel finish, completing the panel design with coordinated technical and aesthetic elements.

Natural light and living comfort

The presence of glass allows D2 to improve the perceived quality of the entrance.

Natural light makes rooms more welcoming, reduces the sense of enclosure and creates a more balanced relationship between inside and outside. This is especially important in homes, hospitality venues and professional spaces where the entrance is the first point of contact for those who enter.

D2 provides a bright entrance door without losing the sense of protection expected of a front door. The choice of glass, proportions and finishes makes it possible to calibrate the degree of visual openness to the needs of the project.

Inner side and glazing bead surround

D2 can also be configured on the inner side, with solutions designed to maintain aesthetic order and functionality.

The inner side can be made with a glazing bead surround in a matching colour, with an anodised aluminium surround or with a surround in a different colour from the panel. Specific solutions are also available on request, according to aesthetic and design requirements.

This option makes it possible to coordinate the entrance door not only with the exterior façade but also with the interiors, creating continuity between the entrance, windows, floors, walls and finishes of the home or professional space.

Sizes and project-specific solutions

D2 panels can be made to measure, according to the size of the entrance opening and the requirements of the project.

Size configurations come in three formats: Small, Medium and Large.

The Small format is suited to secondary leaves or small infill panels. The Medium format is the standard choice for most entrances. The Large format is designed for panels beyond standard dimensions and for projects in which the entrance door plays a more prominent role in the composition of the façade.

This flexibility means D2 can be used both in private homes and in more complex architectural projects.

Finishes, glass and colours

D2's finishes can be customised to coordinate with windows, façades, side doors and other architectural elements.

The panels can be painted inside and out in the same colour or in different colours, according to aesthetic and design requirements. Wood-effect finishes have the grain running vertically along the panel, for a neat, consistent result.

The choice of colour, glass, frame, inserts and accessories makes it possible to create an entrance that is more classic, more contemporary or more textured, always in balance with the style of the building.

Configuring a light-filled entrance

D2 can be defined through a number of design choices: panel type, size and position of the glazed inserts, accessories, colour, finishes and interior solution.

This approach makes it possible to build an entrance door tailored to the desired level of light, the degree of privacy required and the architectural image of the building.

For private clients, it means being able to choose a front door that makes the home brighter and more welcoming. For architects, designers and dealers, it means being able to offer a flexible solution, suited to different settings and different functional needs.

Protection, balance and durability

D2 is designed to combine the visual lightness of glass with the solidity of an aluminium entrance system.

The panel, the insulating core, the glazing bead frame and the customisation options all help to create a door that is strong, carefully finished and suited to everyday use.

For private homes, hospitality venues, company headquarters and contract projects, D2 is a balanced solution: it brings in light, enhances the entrance and retains the protective function of an entrance door.
