Thermally Broken Aluminium M1

Triple seal, internal overlap and flush exterior.
Frame 76 mm, sash 85 mm.

M1 is MOSCA’s thermally broken aluminium system, designed to deliver insulation, strength, stability and clean aesthetics in a single solution.

It is suitable for new builds, renovations and energy-efficiency renovation projects where comfort, durability, essential design and long-term reliability are required.

The aluminium structure ensures solidity and protection from the elements, while the thermal break helps improve the window’s energy performance and indoor comfort.

M1 is designed for homes, professional spaces, hospitality facilities and architectural projects that demand technical performance, build quality and a contemporary look.

ONE SYSTEM for M1

M1 incorporates ONE SYSTEM, MOSCA’s design system applied to thermally broken aluminium windows and doors.

In M1, ONE SYSTEM works on structure, insulation, sealing and finish, making the product more precise in construction, more stable over time and more reliable in everyday use.

The system makes the most of aluminium’s qualities and improves control over the most critical points of the window: profile cutting, corner sealing, gaskets, drainage, glass retention, joints and continuity of finishes.

The benefits are tangible: cleaner, more uniform colouring, less risk of smears, the option of two-tone solutions, better corner finishing, more controlled assembly, better sealing and a neater appearance.

For designers and dealers, it means being able to rely on a precise, customisable technical system that meets the needs of the project. For the end customer, it means choosing a window that is more efficient, better finished and longer-lasting.

Material

Aluminium

The profiles are made from AW 6060 aluminium alloy, chosen for its strength, stability and durability.

45° mitre cutting and corner sealing contribute to greater construction precision and a higher-quality finished product.

The machining of the profiles promotes micro-ventilation and drainage, improving the window’s behaviour over time.

Finishes can be anodised or powder-coated, with extensive colour customisation options.

The system combines internal overlap and flush exterior, offering a neat, essential look that also suits contemporary architectural settings.

Insulation

Thermal Break

M1 is designed to deliver high insulation performance and contribute to the building’s energy comfort.

The thermal break is achieved through rigid ABS insulating profiles and is enhanced with polyurethane material inserted into the insulator cavities and beneath the glass. This is a technical component inside the profile, designed to improve the window’s thermal behaviour and reduce heat loss.

This solution helps keep indoor temperatures more stable and makes M1 suitable for residential, professional and hospitality venues where performance, comfort and durability must work in harmony with the architectural design.

Sealing

Central rebate seal

AlfaTwinPro

A key strength of the M1 system is the central rebate seal, made with a rigid tubular co-extruded ABS profile of the AlfaTwinPro type, mechanically applied to the frame profile before cutting and completed during assembly with a co-extruded EPDM gasket.

This technology helps improve production times, sealing quality and finishing precision, making the window more stable, better finished and more reliable over time.

Gaskets

M1 uses EPDM and TPE gaskets, materials chosen for their elasticity, resilience and long-term reliability.

The system features three rebate gaskets, a threshold insulation gasket, and internal and external glazing gaskets.

This configuration helps improve airtightness, watertightness and wind resistance, increasing indoor comfort and protection from the elements.

Careful attention to the gaskets is one of the elements that make the system more stable, better performing and more reliable in everyday use.

Transparency

Glazing

M1 is compatible with high-performance glazing, designed to improve thermal insulation, acoustic comfort and security.

The system secures the glazing with snap-in glazing beads and accepts glass up to 44 mm thick.

Laminated safety double glazing is available, low-emissivity, with argon gas and warm edge spacer. The system can also take triple glazing, for even higher insulation and comfort performance.

Depending on the glazing configuration, M1 can also help improve acoustic comfort, with sound insulation of up to 46 dB.

Mechanics

Hardware

Perimeter hardware for side-hung and tilt-and-turn opening ensures ease of use, security and long-term durability.

The system is designed to ensure effective distribution of the locking points and smooth operation of the window.

Concealed hinges can also be specified for a cleaner, more minimal look, including in configurations with a low threshold.

The quality of the hardware contributes to the stability of the system and its reliability in everyday use.

Customisation

M1 is a versatile system, designed to adapt to different architectural contexts.

A wide range of colours and finishes allows the window to blend into both contemporary buildings and restoration and renovation projects.

Two-tone solutions make it possible to differentiate the look inside and out, offering greater design freedom.

Thanks to the ONE SYSTEM approach, customisation is not only about appearance but also about finish quality: more precise colouring, cleaner surfaces, neater corners and greater consistency between materials, forms and performance.

M1 is made of aluminium, a durable and recyclable material, in keeping with a design approach focused on quality and long-term durability.
